This lot was inspired by a house just down the road from me… at least the basic shell was, the garden is nothing like this and I have NO idea what the inside looks like. The inside was inspired by my grandmother’s house though, hence the style and the name. This was the first houses where I attempted a proper garden with decent planting and landscaping. I’m really happy how it turned out and it’s probably still one of my best. I’m also really happy with the study given how awkward a shape the room that became the study is. If I remember correctly I ended up changing quite a bit of this house between when I “finished” it and when I finally uploaded it. Mainly the shades of green in the wallpaper downstairs and the study itself (which didn’t exist originally). I then of course was really stupid, didn’t save upon quitting and lost all the changes…. then realised that even though I hadn’t saved I had placed the house into the houses bin which meant I’d done everything twice when I didn’t actually need to. Anyway, the other room in this house that I really like is the kitchen, I really like the colours in there with the warm cream and the beige/brown tiles on the floor, and given how small the room is I think it actually works really well in a 2 person house.
