NEWEST LOT 02/10/2010:

Click the picture above to be taken to the download. More pictures are available here.

Welcome to my new wordpress blog page. Since a glitch on the exchange deleted all of my walkthrough pictures I have decided to move all my past and future walkthroughs to this site, as a friend (BreanneStone) recommended wordpress as a good alternative for hosting pictures.

In the menu at the side you can find all of my past work divided into categories containing my own personal builds, my entries in the Build n Share (BnS) competitions on the exchange and other work that I have done for the FLIP team and SID (not all of this last category are available to download). There is also a page showcasing my enties in Minraed’s Triple Take competition and some links to other builders work that I admire. So feel free to take a look around and see what you like. Another alternative is to scroll down the page here sligthly where you will find pictures of each of my builds. Clicking those pictures will take you to the walkthrough for that particular house.

Each walkthrough contains a title picture, information about the build, the walkthrough pictures and at the bottom a little paragraph about what I remember about the build and how I feel/felt about it now and as I was building it. Once you are in a walkthrough you can go to a download simply by clicking the title picture.

I have enabled comments so that you do not have to be signed in or provide an email address if you do not wish to, so don’t let the fact that the site asks for one put you off commenting. I would love to have direct feedback from the people who actually download my houses. This direct contact is something I feel is missing a little from the main site now that they have removed the guest books and messaging systems that sims 2 had.

My lastest upload will always be showcased at the top of this welcome page (again just click the picture to go to the download). I do update a blog to let you know how I am progressing with the house I am currently working on and to give updates on when it is likely to be uploaded. The last two blog updates will always be found at the bottom of the page. Archives of previous updates can be found in the archive sections in the menu on the right hand side.

And last of all, keep an eye out as I approach an upload date as you will start to see sneaky peeks of the up coming build and sometimes might even get to see the entire walkthrough and info before the build actually gets uploaded to the exchange.

I hope you enjoy looking at and using my houses as much as I enjoy building them.

Click the pictures below to go to their walkthroughs or else use the menu at the side to find the house you would like to view.

*Sneaking back to blog* – UPDATE 02/11/2010: Thought it was about time I posted something just to say that I am still here, still about and still doing stuff. There… I’ve done that. Going now….

Nah! I’ll give a bit more of an update than that! Basically I’ve been taking another break following the…. exchange mess-up that was Qube. I got really upset and stressed about how well or not it was doing at the time I uploaded it and someone pointed out that they were kinda worried about me so I thought it was a better idea to take a step back for a while. The exchange in the state it is in is just straight out maddening and trying to take advantage of any particular time is just pointless at the moment. So I haven’t opened my game since I uploaded Qube and redecorated it in the classic style. Yes you read that right, just after upload I went back into the game and reCASted Qube into Classic Cube…. that is Qube in the style of Classic Gem. It looks quite good and I was planning to upload it a week later but then I just got depressed with the exchange and abandoned the idea. I’m planning to try an Ultra Cube as well (in the style of Ultra Innigh of course) just to see what it’s like and if it works. If it does, I’ll probably upload that too. Then I’ll move back to another house rather than re-hashing the same old starter LOL

I do want to take this time to say thank you to MS3B for linking to my page here, that’s happened since my hiatus so I’ve only realised recently and this is the first time I’ve really had a chance to say thank you, so thank you!

I’m also really really happy to see Solar Echo hit the 1000 download mark and with so many recs and wanted to say thank you to anyone who downloaded or took the time to rec (or both!).

That’s really it for now…. I don’t have any new pictures as I’ve been out of my game (and playing sims 2 again) and while I’m sure you would love to see new buildings I’m also sure you don’t really want to hear or see my sims 2 piccies 🙂 I have been having fun growing up some of the gen 6’s who were stuck as children when I left though 😀

Sneak Peak of Qube – UPDATE 01/10/10: I’ll be uploading this in the next couple of days. Although the walk-through is mostly drafted it’s not quite in a state to be released yet, so I’m afraid you’ll have to put with just having the front cover as your “sneak”, I hope it’s enough. The house is a couple’s starter Micro House and comes with most of the basics. Hopefully despite the budget it still has that homely, lived in feel to it.

In other news, I’ve started working on revamping Ocean Spray. I think I mentioned a few months ago that it was something I wanted to do. but when I opened the house to work on it my mind went blank on what to do. The fact EA have messed up the interior window reflections has kinda put a dampener on the whole thing since the idea of the house is that you can see out of any window from anywhere and since the reflections stop you seeing out of the windows now… that kinda doesn’t work any more. But Alli gave me some ideas the other day, mainly to divide up the space with walls and use arches to achieve that open effect, so that’s what I’m doing. I will hopefully have a WIP picture or two ready soon.

FAB blog! Just adore your creations!

    • Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! And thank you even more for commenting on the blog. It’s still a WIP really but it’s only final touches now that I need to get done 🙂

  4. Cuddles Says:

Ok, so if I had a quater of your tallent I’d be happy.

LOVE your builds and decor. WOW!

    • Love the name! 🙂 And thank you for such a compliment! I get so excited when I see people have taken the time to leave a comment, direct feed back is always such a nice thing to get from people. Do you have any uploads on the exchange? I’m trying to get on to search at the moment but the site is borked and won’t let me look 😦

  5. Great site, I love your builds 🙂

  6. Ooh I see new stuff happening soon! 😀

    • Ok that’s weird, wordpress didn’t tell me you’d left a comment 😦 He he, I always try and give a preview here and/or let people know something new is coming. Sometimes I launch the walkthrough a bit early as well so people that come back get a sneaky peek a few hours before the upload goes live 🙂

    super!!!!

I absolutely love your houses… Your use of color and the use of the different objects work perfectly with one another. I also really really love how well the landscapes turn out!

I like to build houses on the sims.. but mine never turn out as beautiful, jaw dropping, awe inspiring, or stunning as yours.

    • Wow, I um, I’m not sure how to respond. Thank you seems a bit lame really but thank you very much. I struggle a lot with my confidence when building especially with structure and landscaping (yes, I do 😦 ) so a comment like this is always a little hard for me to take but is a nice boost to that confidence. Thank you (again) for taking the time to come here and comment, I really appreciate it 🙂

As to your own builds…. just do what you like, if you like it, it shows and others will appreciate that 🙂

  9. Great houses, and beautifully decorated! I really like the look of your blog too. I just tried to make one but I can’t get it to look right. I’m really enjoying looking at all your creations!

    • Sorry it’s taken me so long to reply to you! I’ve been busy building new houses LOL (yes even though I can’t upload them). Thank you for the lovely comment, about both the houses and the blog. I was going to go take a look since it says I can link to your blog but it seems not to be working at the moment. All I can really say, is keep experimenting with it. I was lucky enough to have a friend who already had a blog here to ask questions when I set mine up but most of it, I just clicked stuff to see what it did LOL Play around with the different themes until you find one you like, have a look in the options on your dashboard and just see what’s in there. It’s really quite fun once you get past the set up stage so don’t give up on it. And if you have any questions, you can always post here and I’ll see if I can help 😀

  10. I like your creations =] they´re beautiful 😀 left some recs

  11. I have a question but I don’t know how to send a message on the Sims 3 website and this was the only way I knew how to get in contact with you, but my question is do you do custom Sims 3 houses!

    • I get confused with the message system on the sims 3 system too 😀 Unfortunately I have actually uninstalled my game…. You can probably see from the last time I updated my blog or uploaded a house that it’s been quite a while since I’s shared anything. The issues with the exchange and the mess that is the official forum just got so annoying that I reinstalled sims 2 and have gone back to playing my old sims 2 hoods. I’ve been having a lot of fun with that because it doesn’t depend on EA sorting themselves out. So unfortunately, I can’t do any houses at the moment and I don’t currently have any plans to reinstall sims 3 or buy any future sims releases.

      Sorry! :S

      • Okay thank-you,by the way I love your houses. I have downloaded a few a while ago.

  12. Anonymous Says:

hey what do you go to download them

  13. JustJustinia Says:

OMG! I loveeee all of your houses! I want to build my own, but I just dont know how to and I dont have any idea in my head. So I’m very jealous, nice work!

    • Glad you like them, as to no ideas…. Just play around. You’ll be amazed what you can do just by messing around with what’s available. Most of the time i dont have a set idea. Only a few are really houses where i knew exactly what i wanted to create, most just sort of grow 😀
